  • Sigma Defense is seeking a DevSecOps Engineer with a strong background in Kubernetes, Linux, Infrastructure as Code, and Networking to fill a new position in a growing team.
  • The role involves bringing modern software practices to development and production environments in the Department of Defense.
  • The ideal candidate is preferably located in Charleston, SC.
  • The position requires 2-5 years of prior information assurance experience.
  • Candidates should have experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible, Linux, Helm, and Flux.
  • The candidate must possess or have the ability to obtain an active Secret security clearance or higher, with clearance sponsorship available for the right candidate.
  • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a similar field of study is required, although the degree may be substituted for comparable additional industry experience and/or industry standard training and certification.
  • Essential job duties include working on a team to create Infrastructure as Code to manage ingress into the environment and developing pipelines and processes that implement containerized RMF (Risk Management Framework) processes.
  • The salary range for this position is $110,000 - $149,000 annually.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have 2-5 years of prior information assurance experience.
  • Experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible, Linux, Helm, and Flux is required.
  • A strong background in Kubernetes, Linux, Infrastructure as Code, and Networking is essential.
  • Candidates must possess or have the ability to obtain an active Secret security clearance or higher.
  • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a similar field of study is required, with the possibility of substituting the degree for comparable additional industry experience and/or industry standard training and certification.
