Navitas is seeking a Senior IT System Engineer (Cloud Engineer) to work remotely.
The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in cloud architecture, systems administration, and automation.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills are required in a dynamic, mission-critical environment.
Responsibilities include providing network and systems administration of cloud and hybrid environments (Azure GovCloud, M365 GCC High).
The role involves troubleshooting and escalating complex issues across VMs, servers, appliances, and cloud/on-prem infrastructure.
The candidate will design, build, and administer scalable, secure, and cost-efficient cloud system resources.
Planning and managing IT project deployments incorporating cloud optimization strategies is essential.
Automating system processes using PowerShell/Bash, including CI/CD pipeline integration, is required.
Monitoring resource consumption, optimizing costs, and enhancing system performance and security are key tasks.
The role includes administering Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) and cloud-based applications.
Performing OS upgrades, VM resource scaling, and security patching in Azure is part of the job.
Providing escalation support to system owners across divisions is necessary.
The candidate will create and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and knowledge base articles.
Configuring and managing Active Directory objects, DNS, DHCP, and GPOs is required.
Contributing to process improvements, technical reviews, and policy development is expected.
Supporting request fulfillment and working service tickets in accordance with AQL is part of the responsibilities.
Debugging and maintaining custom code in support of current IT solutions is also required.
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required, although relevant experience may substitute.
The candidate must have 3+ years of cloud engineering experience in support of cloud infrastructure and applications, including Microsoft Azure (GCC High), Microsoft 365 (GCC High), and Active Directory.
Required certifications include CompTIA Security+ and Microsoft Certified Azure Administrator.
PowerShell/Bash scripting experience is preferred.
Knowledge of DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy Management is beneficial.
Familiarity with DevOps tools such as Azure DevOps, Git, Docker, and Kubernetes is a plus.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) is advantageous.
Understanding of server/desktop virtualization platforms is preferred.
Basic familiarity with Linux OS is beneficial.
Knowledge of Single Sign-On (SSO) and identity/authentication services is a plus.
