The AI Application Security Engineer will design and own the security threat model for the VDC Intelligence team.

The role involves working with exabyte-scale backup data from large enterprises, which is heterogeneous and full of insights.
The engineer will help secure end-to-end customer-facing capabilities, focusing on uptime, relevance, and ROI.
Key tasks include integrating security throughout the SDLC, monitoring for zero-day exploits, defining AI security review processes, automating deployments, and ensuring compliance with standards like FedRAMP and ISO.
Requirements:
Candidates should have exposure to LLMs or AI-based summarization/extraction pipelines in production environments.
Experience with security and compliance toolsets such as Sentinel, SAST, DAST, CNAPP, and Cloud Security PaaS tools is required.
Familiarity with CI/CD practices and tools, including Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions, is necessary.
Significant experience in implementing secure design principles within a modern SDLC framework is preferred, especially with a focus on AI/ML systems for at least 2 years.
Experience managing Azure IaaS and PaaS solutions is advantageous.
Exposure to agent architectures, such as Model Context Protocol and Agent to Agent, is a plus.
