Remote AI Backend Developer

Description:

• We are seeking an experienced AI Backend Developer with strong expertise in Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) to design, implement, and optimize AI-powered backend services.
• The ideal candidate will have deep proficiency in Python and the Azure stack, particularly Azure AI Search and Azure OpenAI.
• The candidate will be capable of integrating these services seamlessly into a Drupal + React frontend environment.
• This position allows for remote work from anywhere in Latam.
• Responsibilities include designing and developing backend services leveraging RAG architectures to deliver intelligent, context-aware responses.
• The developer will build and maintain integrations with Azure AI Search and Azure OpenAI, optimizing query performance, relevance, and scalability.
• The role involves developing Python-based APIs and microservices to support AI workflows and connect with the Drupal + React frontend.
• Collaboration with frontend and DevOps teams is essential to ensure smooth deployment and integration of AI services.
• The developer will implement monitoring, logging, and performance tuning for AI pipelines.
• Maintaining security best practices for data handling, authentication, and API usage is required.
• The candidate will research and recommend new AI tools, frameworks, and methodologies to enhance system capabilities.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in backend development with Python is required.
• Strong knowledge of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) concepts and practical implementation is necessary.
• Hands-on expertise with Azure AI Search and Azure OpenAI is essential.
• Familiarity with Drupal and React environments and their integration points is required.
• Experience designing and consuming RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs is necessary.
• Proficiency in cloud-based development, deployment, and monitoring, preferably with Azure, is required.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams are essential.
