Remote AI Data Lead

Description:

• Clarifai is a leading, full-lifecycle deep learning AI platform specializing in computer vision, natural language processing, and audio recognition.
• The AI Data Lead will own the end-to-end process of creating and curating high-quality datasets that fuel Clarifai's models.
• This role will initially focus on building next-generation vision datasets, particularly full-motion video, and will expand to include large-scale language datasets for advanced NLP models.
• Responsibilities include collaborating with ML and product teams to define data requirements, designing a strategy for data acquisition, and maintaining robust data pipelines.
• The role will leverage automated and AI-assisted labeling tools, manage external data labeling vendors, and implement a quality assurance framework for labels.
• The AI Data Lead will provide structured feedback to product and engineering teams, evaluate new strategies for labeling, and lead a team of data labeling partners.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 3+ years of experience in data engineering, with a proven history of building and managing complex data pipelines.
• Direct experience managing third-party data labeling services or in-house annotation teams is required.
• Experience working with large-scale vision datasets, such as images or videos, is essential.
• A deep understanding of data labeling processes and quality metrics is necessary.
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL is required.
• Experience with cloud data services like AWS, GCP, or Azure is needed.
• Exceptional project management, communication, and vendor management skills are essential.
• A meticulous eye for detail and a commitment to data quality are required.
