Deque is seeking an AI Engineer to join the Scan & Results Team.
This position will apply state-of-the-art machine learning and AI techniques to enhance automated accessibility testing.
The role involves driving intelligent analysis of scan results and developing algorithms that add value to the product suite.
The AI Engineer will build scalable ML systems that integrate into core products, ensuring they are robust, ethical, and aligned with Deque’s mission of digital equality.
Responsibilities include processing and collecting data for AI systems, creating and maintaining data pipelines, and researching AI/ML advancements.
The engineer will design and develop algorithms to enhance the product suite and increase automation.
Contributions to technical documentation and sharing findings with stakeholders through demos, presentations, and reports are expected.
The role requires evaluating algorithm performance using rigorous metrics and participating in code reviews and cross-functional collaborations.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 3+ years of experience in machine learning or AI engineering, focusing on deploying models in production environments.
Proficiency in Python and common ML libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, or Hugging Face Transformers is required.
Experience in building and maintaining scalable ML infrastructure is essential.
Strong back-end engineering skills, including designing APIs and integrating with cloud services, are necessary.
Hands-on experience with data engineering tools and workflows (e.g., AWS Glue, Athena, Spark) is required.
A strong understanding of model lifecycle management, including training, evaluation, deployment, and monitoring, is essential.
Familiarity with web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and an interest in digital accessibility are preferred.
Excellent communication skills are necessary to explain complex ML concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Additional skills in Computer Vision, NLP, Docker, AWS, and accessibility knowledge are advantageous.
