Description:

  • As an AI Engineer at Emburse, you will design and implement artificial intelligence inference applications and products using various approaches including foundation models, agents, deep learning, neural networks, and other machine learning techniques.
  • You will be responsible for automating expense and invoice management processes and solving complex optimization problems.
  • Your role will involve creating systems that learn and adapt over time by leveraging production feedback mechanisms.
  • You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to build and train machine learning models, develop algorithms, and integrate AI systems into existing software and infrastructure.
  • You will identify opportunities for AI applications and drive innovation across the enterprise, ensuring AI models align with organizational goals.
  • Staying updated on advancements in artificial intelligence will be essential, as you will explore new tools for fine-tuning and deploying open-source foundation models.
  • You will leverage agents to retrieve canonical knowledge and make autonomous inferences for handling user inquiries.
  • Key responsibilities include translating product design requirements into algorithms, executing SQL queries and Python scripts, implementing explainable AI solutions, and following SDLC processes.
  • You will contribute to algorithm library development, deliver product pipelines for deployment, and build applications that integrate third-party and self-hosted foundation models.
  • You will also provide thought leadership, mentor junior team members, and present data product updates and trainings.

Requirements:

  • A BS in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or another quantitative field with at least 6 years of experience manipulating data sets and building GLM/regression models, ensemble decision trees, and neural networks is required.
  • The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with foundation models, GenAI, and agents over the last 1-2 years, with a graduate degree preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with an emphasis on product development are essential.
  • You must have 6+ years of experience developing data science products and strong experience using and optimizing common Python machine and deep learning libraries such as Scikit-learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow, Keras, MXNet, and Spark MLlib.
  • Experience using statistical computer languages (Python, R, Scala, SQL, etc.) to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets is required.
  • Hands-on generative AI development experience using foundation models (LLMs, VLMs) is necessary.
  • You should have experience with model fine-tuning of open-source foundation models with proprietary data and knowledge of AI Agent frameworks.
  • Deep knowledge of data science concepts and related product development lifecycle is required, along with experience using machine learning libraries.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for coordinating across teams are essential.
  • A drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques is expected.
