Remote AI Engineer Trainee

Description:

• The AI Engineer Trainee position is a remote, full-time, unpaid trainee program offered by FocusKPI, preferably for candidates in the Eastern Standard Time (EST) zone.
• The program lasts for three months and focuses on mastering advanced AI techniques, including multi-agent systems, ChatGPT-style prompting, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG).
• Trainees will gain hands-on experience and mentorship while working on actual product initiatives using the latest advancements in AI.
• Key technologies include LLM orchestration and agent frameworks, custom GPT-based agents, prompt engineering, vector databases, and API design.
• Trainees will apply these technologies to real customer use cases, such as AI-powered CRM tools and medical device risk automation.

Requirements:

• Candidates must be pursuing or have completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, or related fields.
• Hands-on experience or a strong interest in ChatGPT, LLM APIs, and prompt design is required.
• Familiarity with Python, FastAPI, and modern backend development is necessary.
• Candidates should be comfortable with Git, basic cloud deployment (AWS/GCP), and containers like Docker.
• Bonus qualifications include experience with Langchain, LangGraph, or vector databases such as Pinecone, Weaviate, or FAISS.
