Remote AI Intern

Description:

• This role is for one of Weekday’s clients.
• The position is a full-time AI Intern role with a minimum experience requirement of 0 years.
• The job is remote and based in India.
• Key responsibilities include contributing to the ideation, design, and development of GenAI features such as chatbots, automated assistants, and custom workflow agents using LangGraph and LangChain.
• The intern will implement robust, scalable code with a strong foundation in data structures and algorithms (DSA).
• Collaboration with engineers and product managers is essential to translate user demands and research insights into functional prototypes.
• The role involves integrating and evaluating LLM-based solutions for conversational AI, knowledge retrieval, and content generation tasks.
• Participation in code reviews, documentation, and version control efforts is required to ensure maintainability and knowledge sharing.
• The intern will engage in rapid prototyping, A/B testing, and performance evaluation of generative models and their outputs.
• Demonstrating initiative by sharing learnings from hackathons, side projects, or previous internships with the team is encouraged.

Requirements:

• Candidates should have experience, either academic or practical, in relevant fields.
• A strong command of data structures and algorithms is required, demonstrated through coursework, competitive programming, or validated online platforms.
• Prior experience developing generative AI applications or prototyping with LangGraph, LangChain, or similar LLM frameworks is necessary, whether through projects, courses, or internships.
• Successful participation in major hackathons, coding competitions, or relevant projects is considered a strong plus.
• Previous internship(s) or substantial open-source contributions in AI, NLP, or backend Python roles are preferred.
• Technical skills required include proficiency in Python and its ecosystem, with preferred experience in AI/ML libraries.
• Familiarity with GenAI concepts such as LLMs, prompt engineering, and text-processing pipelines is essential.
• Basic software engineering hygiene is expected, including working with Git, writing unit tests, and using collaborative tools like GitHub, Notion, and Jira.
• Exposure to web frameworks such as Flask, FastAPI, or Django is a plus.
• Candidates should demonstrate eagerness to learn from mentorship and work in a fast-paced, cross-functional team.
• The ability to communicate technical and non-technical concepts clearly is required.
