  • Ardent is seeking a mission-driven AI/ML Data Scientist to support data-driven initiatives at USCIS.
  • This role involves leveraging machine learning, predictive analytics, and data visualization tools such as Tableau and Power BI to uncover actionable insights and drive informed decision-making across government stakeholders.
  • The position requires a combination of technical expertise, data science acumen, and federal reporting experience to deliver scalable analytics solutions in support of agency goals.
  • Responsibilities include designing, developing, and operationalizing AI/ML models to support agency mission objectives, risk assessments, performance improvements, and fraud detection.
  • The candidate will translate federal program data into meaningful insights through interactive dashboards using Tableau and Power BI.
  • The role involves partnering with federal business owners, data stewards, and technical teams to gather requirements and deliver advanced analytics solutions.
  • The candidate will leverage Python, R, and SQL to clean, transform, and analyze structured and unstructured data.
  • The position supports the development of automated data pipelines and data visual storytelling aligned with agency KPIs and strategic plans.
  • The candidate will present findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders, including senior government executives.
  • Compliance with Federal Data Strategy, privacy, Section 508, and security policies (e.g., FISMA, FedRAMP) is required.
  • Participation in agile ceremonies and contribution to sprint planning, backlog grooming, and demos is expected.

Requirements:

  • U.S. Citizenship is required with the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
  • A Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field is required.
  • The candidate must have 3–7 years of experience applying AI/ML techniques to real-world problems, ideally in a federal or public sector environment.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Tableau and Power BI dashboard design and publishing is necessary.
  • Strong proficiency in Python, R, and SQL for data analysis, modeling, and transformation is required.
  • Experience working with large-scale federal datasets (e.g., CMS, VA, DoD, DHS, HHS) is essential.
  • Familiarity with government reporting standards, data governance, and data security policies is required.
