Ardent is seeking a mission-driven AI/ML Data Scientist to support data-driven initiatives at USCIS.
This role involves leveraging machine learning, predictive analytics, and data visualization tools such as Tableau and Power BI to uncover actionable insights and drive informed decision-making across government stakeholders.
The position requires a combination of technical expertise, data science acumen, and federal reporting experience to deliver scalable analytics solutions in support of agency goals.
Responsibilities include designing, developing, and operationalizing AI/ML models to support agency mission objectives, risk assessments, performance improvements, and fraud detection.
The candidate will translate federal program data into meaningful insights through interactive dashboards using Tableau and Power BI.
The role involves partnering with federal business owners, data stewards, and technical teams to gather requirements and deliver advanced analytics solutions.
The candidate will leverage Python, R, and SQL to clean, transform, and analyze structured and unstructured data.
The position supports the development of automated data pipelines and data visual storytelling aligned with agency KPIs and strategic plans.
The candidate will present findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders, including senior government executives.
Compliance with Federal Data Strategy, privacy, Section 508, and security policies (e.g., FISMA, FedRAMP) is required.
Participation in agile ceremonies and contribution to sprint planning, backlog grooming, and demos is expected.
Requirements:
U.S. Citizenship is required with the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
A Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field is required.
The candidate must have 3–7 years of experience applying AI/ML techniques to real-world problems, ideally in a federal or public sector environment.
Demonstrated expertise in Tableau and Power BI dashboard design and publishing is necessary.
Strong proficiency in Python, R, and SQL for data analysis, modeling, and transformation is required.
Experience working with large-scale federal datasets (e.g., CMS, VA, DoD, DHS, HHS) is essential.
Familiarity with government reporting standards, data governance, and data security policies is required.
