As an AI Engineer specializing in Data & ML, you will be the technical force behind core matching algorithms.
You will work directly with a founding team of 12 to enhance AI systems that connect candidates with opportunities.
Responsibilities include building and maintaining taxonomies for candidate and job attributes, extracting and normalizing entities from resumes and job descriptions, and developing retrieval, ranking, and scoring methods using embedding-based techniques and LLMs.
You will refine proprietary scoring algorithms that evaluate candidate-job compatibility and conduct analyses to identify patterns in successful hires.
You will implement innovative NLP solutions that understand context, intent, and nuance in hiring language.
You will design and implement robust data pipelines for handling large volumes of resume and job posting data and build entity resolution systems to normalize candidate profiles.
Collaborate with the product team to translate business requirements into technical solutions and own the end-to-end ML lifecycle from experimentation to production deployment.
Requirements:
A deep understanding of machine learning algorithms, particularly in recommendation systems or ranking problems is required.
Experience with prompt engineering, prompt chaining, and LLM fine-tuning is necessary.
Knowledge of vector databases and semantic search technologies is essential.
Familiarity with A/B testing and experimental design is required.
A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with Python, SQL, and modern ML frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, and scikit-learn is needed.
A proven track record in NLP and working with large language models (OpenAI, Anthropic, open-source LLMs) is essential.
Experience with data engineering tools and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) is required.
A strong background in entity resolution, data matching, or similar deduplication challenges is necessary.
Experience in building and maintaining ontologies, datasets, and evaluation pipelines is required.
Ability to choose different methods based on tradeoffs of cost, latency, and accuracy is essential.
