SEON is seeking an exceptional AI Principal Engineer / Architect to guide the evolution of its AI and ML architecture.
The role involves serving as a technical visionary and hands-on leader for SEON's AI strategy, focusing on model lifecycle management, infrastructure design, and cross-functional integrations.
This position is critical for ensuring that SEONβs fraud detection models are cutting-edge, scalable, and integrated into core systems.
Responsibilities include architecting and scaling AI systems, leading product integration, developing reusable components, owning AI infrastructure, embedding AI in the platform, collaborating cross-functionally, championing engineering standards, and exploring new tools and prototypes.
The role offers flexibility and can be based remotely in the EU.
Requirements:
Candidates must have a solid understanding of generative AI, including LLM architecture, prompt engineering, embeddings, and vector search.
A product-oriented mindset is essential, with a focus on solving real user problems and ensuring simplicity, reliability, and performance.
Applicants should have 8+ years of experience building AI/ML systems at scale, preferably in a SaaS, B2B, or data-heavy product environment.
Proficiency in designing AI/ML infrastructure on AWS is required, including experience with services like SageMaker, S3, and Lambda.
Strong system design skills are necessary, with the ability to balance latency, scale, experimentation, and cost.
Familiarity with the full-stack AI lifecycle, from prototyping to deployment and monitoring, is expected.
Experience in cross-functional collaboration and mentoring other engineers or data scientists is important.
A background in fraud detection, fintech, transaction monitoring, or security is a plus, but a willingness to learn is also valued.
A Master's or PhD in Data Science is preferable.
