• The role of AI Principal Engineer involves defining the product vision based on real user needs and building the systems that power it.
• The engineer will work closely with the CEO, who is also the Chief Product Officer, to drive the direction of AI features.
• Responsibilities include co-owning the AI product and technical roadmap, ensuring the team understands the importance of their work, designing and implementing AI-powered features, driving technical architecture decisions, writing scalable code, and defining success metrics.

• Strong product instincts and user empathy are essential, with a focus on solving real problems beyond just models.
• The ability to communicate business context and product priorities to engineers is crucial for building the right solutions.
• Deep experience in building AI/ML systems, particularly with LLMs in production, is required.
• Familiarity with the modern AI/LLM ecosystem is necessary.
• Hands-on knowledge of prompt engineering, vector databases, orchestration tools, and model evaluation pipelines is expected.
• The candidate should be a clear communicator, comfortable leading discussions and making decisions.
• Previous experience in a startup or fast-paced environment is a plus.
• Availability to work a 6-day week and maintain consistent overlap with U.S. time zones is required.
