Remote AI Product Engineer

Description:

• Crux is a capital markets platform focused on financing clean energy and manufacturing projects in the U.S.
• The company is seeking an AI Product Engineer to enhance their AI-driven products for clean energy finance.
• The role involves collaborating with customers and internal teams to design, build, and ship production-grade AI features.
• The engineer will lead the development of Crux’s AI stack, including model selection, orchestration, evaluation, and iteration.
• Responsibilities include defining best practices for transitioning AI products from prototype to production and building across the tech stack (TypeScript, React, SQL).
• The engineer will prototype, experiment, and test ideas rapidly, ensuring alignment with real customer needs.
• Contribution to the engineering culture through learning sessions, code reviews, and shared standards is expected.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 4+ years of professional software engineering experience with a strong full-stack foundation in TypeScript, React, and SQL.
• Proven experience in building and shipping production-ready AI products is required.
• Candidates should be skilled with modern prototyping tools and capable of making UX decisions for MVPs.
• Comfort in working directly with customers in ambiguous and fast-changing environments is essential.
• A founder-level energy and ownership mentality is necessary, with the ability to make things happen and rally others.
• Candidates should be naturally curious, quick to learn, and willing to try new technologies.
• Authorization to work in the US or Canada is required.

Benefits:

• The annual base salary ranges from $140,000 to $170,000 for mid-career positions and $160,000 to $200,000 for senior positions.
