The role involves managing a team of Applied AI Researchers, focusing their efforts to provide tangible business application outcomes as part of the Applied AI Research Lab.
You will collate the research from your team, prioritize tangible research, and build these as proof of concept products quickly, utilizing a wide range of available research and tools.

Requirements:
A minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in a machine learning research field is required.
Demonstrated experience leading a small agile team in a research capacity is essential.
Extensive knowledge of commercial ML models and their capabilities for practical business applications is necessary.
A collaborative problem-solver mindset is crucial, with eagerness to tackle new challenges in a fast-paced development cycle.
A genuine passion for artificial intelligence and a strong desire to build products that leverage its capabilities to solve real-world problems is expected.

Strong hands-on experience with modern ML frameworks and techniques, including transformers, encoder-decoder architectures, vector embeddings, and tokenization strategies, is necessary.
Proficiency in Python, PyTorch/TensorFlow, HuggingFace Transformers, LangChain, or similar libraries, along with comfort in using experimentation frameworks, is required.
Experience with both closed-source APIs (e.g., Claude 3, OpenAI GPT-4o, Gemini 1.5 Pro) and open-weight models (e.g., Mistral, DeepSeek, Phi-3) is essential.
