The ability to analyze complex systems, identify problem areas, and design AI-powered solutions that align with user needs and agency missions is essential.
Strong knowledge of LLM architectures (e.g., BERT, RAG, GPT) and the ability to explain them to non-technical stakeholders is required.
Familiarity with cloud-native AI stacks on AWS, Azure, or GCP and comfort designing scalable, secure ML workflows is necessary.
Hands-on experience with tools like Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hugging Face, or similar ML frameworks is expected.
A practical understanding of vector search, embeddings, knowledge graphs, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines is important.
Proficiency using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) to rapidly iterate and ship prototypes is required.
The candidate should have the ability to lead and mentor a small team of engineers to deliver quick-turn solutions and PoCs.
Clear, confident communication and presentation skills, including live solution demos with federal stakeholders, are essential.
Experience working across product, design, and business teams to shape AI-powered features and services is necessary.
Candidates must be US Citizens and able to work domestically, and they must be able to attain low-level security clearance.
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, or a related field is required; a Ph.D. in a relevant field or equivalent experience is a plus.
