  • As an AML Data Analyst, you will play a crucial role in protecting customers and ensuring regulatory compliance through meticulous analysis and investigation of financial transactions.
  • You will be part of a dynamic team dedicated to developing and implementing strategies that enhance AML capabilities and maintain the highest standards of security and compliance.
  • Responsibilities include ensuring adherence to AML regulations and internal policies by continuously reviewing and updating procedures in line with regulatory changes and industry best practices.
  • You will conduct thorough risk assessments of customers and transactions to identify and mitigate potential AML risks, designing, implementing, and refining AML Rules, customer risk rating, and enhanced due diligence measures.
  • Analyzing AML data and trends to identify emerging risks and enhance detection capabilities is essential, as well as developing and refining analytical models and tools for improved monitoring and risk assessment.
  • You will also design and deliver training programs to raise awareness about AML procedures and best practices for Oscilar’s customers.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Data Science, Business Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field is required.
  • Strong data analysis and correlation skills are necessary, with the ability to handle complex and unfamiliar data sets, attention to detail, and the ability to identify data discrepancies. Proficiency in SQL and analytical tools (SAS, R, Python) is essential.
  • An in-depth understanding of AML regulations, policies, and procedures is required, along with familiarity with regulatory requirements such as the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and anti-money laundering laws.
  • At least 5 years of experience in AML compliance or financial crime prevention within financial institutions or similar environments is necessary, with experience in transaction monitoring and investigation being essential.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in AML software and tools are crucial, as well as experience with data analysis, risk assessment, and report writing.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required, with the ability to work effectively with multicultural and global teams with minimal supervision.
  • Candidates should be naturally curious, data-driven, results-oriented, highly adaptable, and eager to learn and contribute.
