• The position is for an Application and Cloud Security Engineer to join the IT team at Real, focusing on integrating security best practices into software development and infrastructure operations.
• The role involves working closely with engineering teams to embed security into CI/CD pipelines, harden Kubernetes clusters, and safeguard applications, cloud services, and containerized environments.
• Responsibilities include identifying and mitigating security risks to ensure the resilience and integrity of critical systems while enabling secure, scalable growth.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have secure coding and threat modeling experience using OWASP/NIST/CSA frameworks.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Go, or Bash is required.
• Familiarity with the Kubernetes ecosystem, including Helm, Terraform, Prometheus, and service mesh tools is necessary.
• Experience with vulnerability scanners like Trivy, kube-bench, and Falco is essential.
• Knowledge of cloud-native monitoring and familiarity with CSPM/CNAPP is required.
• Strong communication skills are needed to mentor development and infrastructure teams.
• Candidates should possess an analytical mindset with a focus on detection, prevention, and response to security issues.
• The ability to explain complex security issues to both technical and executive audiences is important.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in Application Security, Cloud Security, or Kubernetes security is necessary.
• Hands-on experience with SAST/DAST, CI/CD tools, and cloud-native security is required.
• Proficiency with Kubernetes security best practices, including pods, policies, and RBAC, is essential.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, particularly in securing container workloads, is necessary.
