Description:

  • The mission of the role is to live at the intersection of application runtime and security, protecting applications fundamentally so developers can build great application services without constant concern for security threats.
  • As an Application Security Architect & Developer for BlueRock Security, the responsibilities include understanding common application runtime environments such as Python, Java, and JavaScript, as well as the threats against them.
  • The role involves developing innovative and practical security protection mechanisms to proactively stop threats using user space and Linux kernel space mechanisms.
  • The candidate will design and build both rapid prototypes and production code aimed at detecting and preventing vulnerabilities and exploits.
  • Development will be conducted for Cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and private data centers.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have at least 7+ years of experience in the development of application security or monitoring for enterprise applications.
  • A strong technical understanding of how application runtimes work, the threats against them, and insights on how to protect applications is required.
  • Strong programming knowledge in languages such as Python, Java, Go, Rust, and C/C++ is essential.
  • Experience with modern backend frameworks including Django, Spring, Flask, NestJS, and ASP.NET is necessary.
  • Candidates should have experience with containers, Kubernetes services, Linux applications, and the Linux kernel.
  • Knowledge of best practices for Agile development and CI/CD-driven product development is required.
  • Experience with development in Cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure) is necessary.
  • A Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science or an equivalent field is required.
