Remote Application Security Engineer

Description:

• Owner.com is an all-in-one platform designed to help restaurants succeed online by providing tools for website building, online orders, branded apps, customer relationship management, and marketing automation.
• The company aims to assist independent restaurants and plans to expand its solutions to other local businesses in the future.
• The Application Security Engineer (AppSec Engineer) will work with engineering teams to conduct application security testing, remediation, and prevention across the entire product line.
• This role is critical for protecting Owner's mission and is 100% remote, available to candidates in the United States, Canada, Mexico, or Colombia.
• The AppSec Engineer will secure Owner’s product line, enable teams to operate efficiently without additional risk, protect customers from fraud and abuse, and enhance the development process.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have exceptional application security testing capabilities.
• Experience working with or testing startups in a similar capacity is required.
• A background in Bug Bounty and exploit development is a bonus.
• Experience writing and deploying code in a production environment is necessary.
• Candidates should possess flexible problem-solving skills and strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• A deep sense of personal ownership and accountability is essential.
• A builder mentality is preferred.
• Nice to haves include experience with B to C business models and their security considerations, alerting and detection within an application environment, fraud and abuse detection and prevention, and payment/financial security.

Benefits:

• The estimated base salary for this role ranges from $190,000 to $220,000 USD.
