Remote Application/System Administrator

Description:

• Spalding, a Saalex Company, is seeking an Application/Systems Administrator in Patuxent River, MD.
• This position is full-time and offers a salary range of $90K-$125K, depending on experience.
• The work location is remote, with on-site requirements for onboarding that include 1-2 visits to Patuxent River, MD for local candidates, while out-of-state candidates will be onboarded virtually.
• Training will be conducted virtually, with some on-site work required for local candidates a few hours per week.
• The essential functions of the role include performing installation, integration, configuration, testing, troubleshooting, and security implementation of software applications, particularly on Windows systems.
• Specific software applications include Microsoft Office products, Java JRE, and Raytheon EAGLE.
• The role also involves troubleshooting and resolving software issues and providing support through a ticketing system to application owners, developers, and internal/external teams.
• Additional duties may be assigned as required.

Requirements:

• Application installation, configuration, and administration experience on Windows-based systems is required, with experience in large-scale/complex app configuration being a plus.
• Experience troubleshooting software issues is required.
• Knowledge of DISA STIGS and how to implement them is required.
• CompTIA Security+ certification is required, and candidates must show proof of certification prior to the interview.
• Candidates must have a BS/BA degree and 3 years of related experience, or an AA/AS degree and 7 years of related experience, or a high school diploma and 9 years of related experience.
• An active/interim TS/SSBI clearance is desired, or an active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SSBI.
