Firstbase is seeking an Applied AI Engineer to embed AI across its product suite.
The role involves leading the application of AI to core business and product workflows, owning the end-to-end stack from prototyping to production deployment.
Responsibilities include identifying high-impact AI improvements, rapid prototyping, integrating off-the-shelf models, experimenting and iterating on solutions, training models with Firstbase’s data, collaborating with engineering and product teams, building the internal AI stack, and staying updated on AI advancements.
The technology stack includes PHP, Golang, Node.js, Vue, MySQL, PostgreSQL, AWS, Redis, Docker, and various collaboration tools like Slack and Notion.
Requirements:
Candidates must have proven experience applying machine learning and/or LLMs to real-world product challenges in production.
A minimum of 5 years of professional experience with Machine Learning, preferably in a SaaS or product-led B2B environment, is required.
At least 1 year of hands-on experience with LLMs and GenAI techniques is necessary.
Experience deploying on cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, and familiarity with CI/CD and containerization workflows is essential.
Candidates should be comfortable with ambiguity and fast-paced environments, demonstrating critical thinking.
Bonus points for exposure to data engineering or analytics pipelines.
The position is open to candidates in Latam or the US.
