The Applied ML Research Engineer will contribute to the vision of creating a globally coherent ecosystem of intelligent agents.
The role involves working in the Applied Research group and contributing to the Foundations of ML group.
The focus will be on using Bayesian statistics and theories of the free energy principle and active inference to develop scalable solutions to real-world problems.
Responsibilities include contributing to development and innovation, applying Bayesian techniques, developing ML theory, publishing papers, and presenting work to company leaders.
Requirements:
A Master's degree or PhD in a quantitative field, with experience in computer science, data science, statistics, or operations research is required.
A demonstrated track record in applying Bayesian techniques and engaging in ML research is essential.
Candidates must have an understanding of the cutting edge of machine learning research.
The ability to work collaboratively within a team of ML research scientists and engineers is necessary.
Bonus qualifications include experience with active inference and the free energy principle, a background in academia or industry, knowledge of implementing AI systems at scale, and experience deploying ML services on the cloud with big data.
