The Associate Data Scientist will join Arcadia’s Data Science team and contribute to the development of machine learning models, customer-facing deliverables, and strategic insights.
This role reports to the Senior Director of AI and Predictive Modeling and is crucial for the evolution of Arcadia’s machine learning initiatives.
The candidate should have experience in machine learning techniques, statistical analysis, and healthcare data, particularly in value-based care models.
Effective communication is essential as the role involves cross-functional collaboration and engaging with clients to translate complex technical concepts.
In the first 3 months, the candidate will gain an understanding of Arcadia’s data model and tools, and deliver initial analytics showcasing measurable value.
By 6 months, the candidate should establish themselves as a subject matter expert and proactively engage with customers to identify model improvement opportunities.
After 12 months, the candidate will be recognized as a go-to resource for machine learning expertise and will lead initiatives to enhance analytics workflows.
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related discipline is required.
The candidate must have at least 1 year of experience working with healthcare data, including familiarity with claims, clinical, or operational datasets.
A minimum of 1 year of demonstrated experience in developing and deploying machine learning models in real-world applications is necessary.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a passion for data-driven decision-making are essential.
The candidate should have excellent communication and collaboration skills to work cross-functionally and engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Proficiency in Python and common data science libraries (e.g., pandas, scikit-learn, NumPy) is required.
Experience with SQL and large-scale relational databases is necessary.
Familiarity with cloud-based data tools such as Redshift, Athena, S3, SageMaker, and Github is preferred.
Knowledge of machine learning model evaluation, performance tuning, and deployment best practices is desired.
