The Associate Network Engineer will support the planning, implementation, and troubleshooting of network and IT infrastructure solutions for a diverse client base.
This is a hands-on client-facing role where you'll gain exposure to enterprise technologies while under the guidance of senior engineers.
The role requires a passion for providing excellent customer service through creating partnerships, promoting sustainability, and offering creative solutions to network challenges.
Responsibilities include deploying and configuring network hardware such as switches, routers, firewalls, and access points.
The engineer will follow detailed design and implementation plans under senior supervision and document as-built configurations.
Support for client issues post-deployment is required, along with assisting with root cause analysis and troubleshooting escalations.
The engineer will assist with gathering and documenting technical requirements during discovery sessions and help senior engineers in solution implementation planning.
Participation in internal training sessions and knowledge-sharing meetings is expected.
The role includes assisting with the creation of technical documentation, runbooks, and knowledge-based articles.
The engineer should actively pursue industry certifications such as Cisco CCNA/CCNP, Palo Alto PCNSE, and Juniper JNCIA.
Staying current with emerging technologies relevant to the service offerings is essential.
Requirements:
Candidates should have 2-4 years of experience in a related Information Technology role.
Experience with configuration, installation, troubleshooting, and supporting network equipment, wireless access points, and firewall policies across different platforms is required.
Attention to detail and organizational skills are necessary.
Effective communication and presentation skills are essential.
Excellent documentation skills using Microsoft Office and Visio are required.
The ability to travel up to 40-50% is necessary.
Candidates must be able to learn new and unfamiliar technologies and products independently using documentation and online resources.
The ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative engineering team is required.
Candidates should work well in a fast-paced environment with tight timelines for deliverables.
Entry-level certifications (e.g., CCNA, JNCIA, CompTIA Network+) are preferred.
Salary is commensurate with years of experience, technical expertise, and geographic location, with a range of $70,000 to $105,000.
