We are looking for a detail-oriented and highly skilled QA Automation Engineer with strong expertise in Playwright with TypeScript to join our growing QA team.
The ideal candidate will have experience in both manual and automated testing of web-based applications, a solid understanding of Agile methodologies, and a passion for delivering high-quality software.
Responsibilities include designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts using Playwright with TypeScript.
The candidate will perform manual and automated testing of web applications to ensure functionality, usability, and browser compatibility.
Conducting API testing, including automation within Playwright, is also required.
The role involves collaborating with developers and product owners within an Agile/Scrum environment to define test cases and acceptance criteria.
The candidate will execute and analyze load and performance tests, preferably using JMeter.
Participation in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives is expected.
Ensuring test coverage through effective use of tools like Jira and Jenkins is part of the job.
The candidate will write and execute SQL queries for data validation and testing support.
Logging defects, tracking progress, and verifying fixes are essential tasks.
Requirements:
The candidate must have 4+ years of hands-on experience in testing web-based applications.
A minimum of 2+ years of experience with automated testing using Playwright is required.
Proficiency in TypeScript and scripting test cases within Playwright is necessary.
Experience in API testing and automation of APIs using Playwright is essential.
Familiarity with Selenium and load testing tools, preferably JMeter, is required.
A strong understanding of browser compatibility testing is necessary.
The candidate should have working knowledge of PostgreSQL and the ability to write basic SQL queries.
Experience working within an Agile Scrum team is required.
Familiarity with Jira and Jenkins is a plus.
Nice to have: Experience executing automation tests via CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins) and prior exposure to Selenium frameworks and/or Postman for API testing.
