The QA Automation Engineer evaluates tools and technology for test automation that are most appropriate to the project.
This role involves writing, designing, and executing automated tests by creating scripts that run testing functions automatically, maximizing test coverage of automated tests for critical features of the system.
The engineer enables the transition of testing from a manual to an automated approach to minimize manual test effort.
Responsibilities include determining the priority for test scenarios, creating execution plans, and writing documentation for automated processes including test plans, test procedures, and test cases.
The position requires selection and building of test automation frameworks, logging and documenting bugs in the tracking system, and setting up Continuous Integration in a CI/CD pipeline.
The QA Automation Engineer oversees the entire development process, ensuring all released products meet company and industry quality standards.
The role supports the test team with test automation know-how and stays current on modern processes, tools, techniques, and technologies to ensure a high degree of quality.
Requirements:
Candidates must have hands-on experience of at least 3 years with Software QA and Testing Tools and Software Test Engineering.
In-depth proficiency of 1-2 years is required in areas such as ICT Overview, Programming, Quality Assurance, Agile Tools, Agile Methods, DevOps, Defect Analysis, Test Automation, Test Case Design, Requirements Analysis, Test Implementation, Documentation, Agile Development, and Automation System Architecture.
Soft skills required include cross-functional collaboration and the ability to transfer knowledge between colleagues.
Other necessary skills include analytical thinking, industry trends automation know-how, continuous learning, problem-solving, customer focus, and accuracy and attention to detail.
Language requirements include an upper intermediate (B2) and intermediate (B1) proficiency in English.
