Remote Automation QA Engineer

Description:

• Simulmedia is seeking an experienced and dynamic Automation QA Engineer (AQA) to join their Engineering team.
• The role involves ensuring the quality and reliability of software platforms and products.
• The AQA will help build test automation efforts by designing and implementing automated testing strategies.
• Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential to identify and address issues early in the development cycle.
• The position is located in either Kyiv or Lviv, Ukraine, with a primarily remote work setup and occasional team meetings in the office.

Requirements:

• Candidates must be located in Ukraine.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in software testing, including both manual and automation testing, is required.
• A solid understanding of QA methodologies, test planning, and defect tracking is necessary.
• Strong analytical skills to identify testing deficits and the ability to write accurate tests are essential.
• Candidates must possess strong communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
• The ability to analyze logs, debug issues, and collaborate with development teams to resolve them efficiently is required.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure are necessary.
• Collaboration with engineers to improve developer experience and testing processes is expected.
• Strong proficiency in automated testing frameworks such as Docker, JS, Cypress, and Selenium Webdriver is required.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and experience with test automation integration, including GitHub Actions, is necessary.
• Candidates should demonstrate exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills, as well as excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• The ability to work independently and a passion for staying current with the latest testing trends and technologies are important.
• Candidates must be able to communicate with U.S.-based teams and work from 11 am to 8 pm EEST.
