The AV Solutions Engineer - Remote position at New Era Technology involves AV System Design and the creation of CAD drawing diagrams, including detailed specifications and integration of electronics.
Responsibilities include performing comprehensive audiovisual equipment bids for customers, which encompass low voltage wiring, equipment rack setup, system processing, and various audio-visual components.
The role requires participation in meetings, partnering with Sales, Project Management, and other departments to interpret project specifications, determine system layout, and develop a bill of materials.
The engineer will design building layouts and conduct final drawing review processes while coordinating tasks with Architects and Engineers.
The position also involves assisting sales with client visits and presentations, maintaining expertise in current and future technology, and training on new products and procedures.
Requirements:
A degree in Electronics or a similar field is preferred, along with a minimum of 7 years of experience in servicing, designing, and engineering commercial and professional AV Systems.
AVIXA CTS certification is required, with CTS-D and/or CTS-I preferred.
Candidates must possess a working knowledge of equipment connectivity, wiring, electronics, and installation of professional Audio, Video, Conferencing, and Control systems.
Experience in reviewing bid documents and preparing comprehensive bills of materials and scope of work descriptions is essential.
Strong interpersonal skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks, and a sense of urgency are required.
Proficiency in computerized design programs and familiarity with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, or other project software is advantageous.
Experience in designing networked computer-controlled systems, video conferencing, and digital signage is a plus.
The ability to work independently and as part of a team, along with effective communication skills, is necessary.
