Description:

  • IsI Enterprises is seeking a highly motivated AWS Infrastructure Security Engineer.
  • The engineer will work closely with the Security Control Engineering team to evaluate the security of the enterprise web application.
  • Responsibilities include assisting in the implementation of proper security policies and controls within the AWS infrastructure.
  • The engineer will assist in the remediation of vulnerabilities and prepare the application for FedRAMP evaluation and certification.
  • Job responsibilities include conducting comprehensive assessments of the AWS infrastructure for compliance with FedRAMP and SOC2 requirements.
  • The engineer will assist in implementing security policies and controls in the AWS infrastructure.
  • Identifying security gaps and vulnerabilities within the infrastructure and developing remediation plans is also part of the role.
  • The engineer will assist with the remediation of security audit findings from third-party vendors.
  • Collaboration with the engineering team to implement necessary security controls and measures for compliance is required.
  • The engineer will provide technical expertise and guidance on FedRAMP requirements, policies, and procedures.
  • Assistance in gathering evidence for preparing FedRAMP documentation is also part of the job.
  • The engineer will work with the engineering team to implement FIPS security controls.

Requirements:

  • Applicants must have current, interim eligibility, or previous security clearance.
  • Candidates must have held or currently hold a clearance or have documented eligibility based on a favorable background investigation.
  • Interim clearances will be accepted for consideration, and all clearances are encouraged to apply.
  • U.S. citizenship is required by federal regulation.
  • Applicants without the above qualifications will not be considered due to contract requirements.
  • A minimum of 3+ years of hands-on experience with AWS services and architecture is required, including AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM), Amazon EC2, RDS, ECS, S3, etc.
  • Experience with Terraform or a similar “infrastructure-as-code” tool is necessary.
  • In-depth knowledge of FedRAMP requirements, controls, and processes is required.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills are essential for identifying and addressing complex security issues.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are necessary for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
