Mesh is seeking an Azure Cloud Engineer to join their team, focusing on building and maintaining highly reliable, scalable systems with strong cloud security expertise.
The role will ensure the reliability, performance, and availability of Azure infrastructure while implementing SRE best practices.
Responsibilities include designing and managing scalable Azure infrastructure, defining and tracking SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets, and building self-healing systems.
The engineer will design observability solutions, monitor production systems, and participate in on-call rotations.
The position involves owning and implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices using Terraform and Azure DevOps, as well as developing automation to improve operational efficiency.
The engineer will conduct performance analysis, implement auto-scaling strategies, and integrate security measures into CI/CD pipelines.
Responsibilities also include leading incident response, developing runbooks, and mentoring team members on infrastructure management and reliability engineering.
Collaboration with engineers across different time zones and partnering with development teams to establish SRE practices is essential.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 8+ years of experience in SRE, DevOps, or cloud infrastructure roles, with significant Azure experience.
Knowledge of the .NET framework and .NET Core for application troubleshooting and performance optimization is required.
Strong automation skills with Terraform and Bash scripting are necessary; knowledge of Python and Terragrunt is a plus.
A deep understanding of SRE principles, including SLIs/SLOs, error budgets, and blameless post-mortems, is essential.
Expertise in observability tools and practices such as Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Datadog is required.
Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) is necessary.
Proficiency in Azure services, including App Service, Functions, and Key Vault, is required.
Candidates should have database experience with Azure SQL, Azure Cache for Redis, and Azure Cosmos DB.
Azure Governance expertise, including blueprints and cost management, is necessary.
CI/CD proficiency with GitHub Actions and GitOps practices is required.
Networking skills with Azure Front Door, WAF, and Azure Firewall are necessary.
Experience with multi-region architectures and disaster recovery planning is required.
Strong communication skills for cross-timezone collaboration and incident communication are essential.
Knowledge of Istio, Helm, KEDA, Dapr, and ArgoCD is a plus.
Preferred certifications include Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or CKA: Certified Kubernetes Administrator.
