Description:

• This position is for an Azure Data Engineer II at Enable Data Incorporated, located in India, and is a remote role.
• The role involves designing, building, and maintaining advanced data solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform.
• The engineer will contribute to impactful projects across diverse industries and collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate data requirements into scalable pipelines, robust storage systems, and efficient integration processes.
• Responsibilities include designing and implementing scalable, reliable data solutions using Microsoft Azure technologies, collaborating with teams to gather and analyze data requirements, and building and maintaining data ingestion pipelines from diverse sources.
• The position requires performing data integration, transformation, and quality checks to maintain consistency and accuracy, as well as implementing secure data storage and retrieval mechanisms using Azure services.
• The engineer will monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data pipelines, apply data governance best practices, and support analysts and data scientists with high-quality datasets.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline is required.
• Candidates must have 5+ years of experience with Big Data technologies.
• Proven expertise in the Microsoft Azure cloud platform and its data services is essential.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with SQL-based database systems are required.
• Experience in both batch and streaming data processing is necessary.
• Hands-on proficiency in frameworks and services such as Apache Spark, Hadoop, Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse, Snowflake, and CosmosDB is expected.
• Real-world experience with Azure Databricks and ETL processes is required.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a solid grasp of data engineering principles are necessary.
• Proficiency in Python or Scala programming is required.
• Azure-related certifications are considered an advantage.
