KOHO is seeking an Intermediate Backend Developer to join their Platform Team remotely from Canada.
The role involves reporting to a Senior Software Development Manager and being part of a multi-faceted pod responsible for building the internal development framework and maintaining code quality standards.
The developer will own the internal authentication and authorization system and support feature teams in advancing their distributed systems architecture.
Responsibilities include maintaining secure and scalable access control, developing components for the internal library, creating POCs, gathering system inputs, building dashboards, leading small to medium-sized projects, and fostering cross-team collaboration.
The developer will also join an on-call rotation after fully integrating into the team.
Requirements:
A bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field is required, with AWS certifications being a plus.
Candidates should embrace AI-powered development workflows and have hands-on experience with tools like Claude Code or other AI coding assistants.
Experience in developing Distributed Systems and Event-driven Architecture is necessary.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Go, Python, and SQL is required.
Candidates must be solution-oriented, thrive on complex technical issues, and enjoy owning technical solutions from ideation to completion.
Excellent communication skills are essential for clearly dissecting complex technical issues.
The ability to collaborate effectively in a distributed team environment while being self-directed in work is required.
