Ordaos is seeking an experienced Backend Engineer to support the creation of bespoke mini-proteins for therapeutics.
The Senior Backend Engineer will collaborate with backend engineers, AI Scientists, DevOps Engineers, and End Users on the AI Platform.
The role requires familiarity with modern AI coding tools and workflows to accelerate backend development.
Responsibilities include designing efficient data structures for machine learning algorithms, implementing system changes based on user requests, and collaborating with stakeholders to translate needs into functional code.
The engineer will interface with multiple databases and work with AI Scientists to implement ML-powered features.
Collaboration with other engineers is essential to ensure quick code shipping and system reliability.
Requirements:
A BA or Masters in computer science is required.
The candidate must be an excellent Python programmer, demonstrated through the development of complex fast.api or celery-based web applications.
Proven ability to leverage AI-native development tools to increase coding speed and quality is essential.
Experience in building and scaling applications that rely on cloud services is required.
Knowledge of common data structures and algorithms is necessary.
The candidate must be capable of designing, implementing, and debugging object-oriented Python code.
Ability to write maintainable Python code for a large-scale code base is required.
Experience interfacing with SQL databases through SQLAlchemy and SQL directly is necessary.
Strong knowledge of Linux and familiarity with Git is required.
Experience using third-party libraries and APIs is essential.
Full-stack experience is not required.
The candidate should have a passion for monitoring and improving the health of the code base.
Benefits:
The hourly rate for this position ranges from $30 to $50, based on education and prior experience.
