As a backend engineer, you will build highly scalable and reliable platform services, addressing deep technical challenges across distributed systems.
You will collaborate with the team to implement new APIs, database/caching abstractions, and services for user-facing products and infrastructure tooling.
You will take full ownership of product features, from design to implementation, ensuring high availability and scalability.
You will maintain high engineering standards around code quality, monitoring, operations, automated testing, and release management.
Requirements:
You must have 6+ years of experience as a backend engineer, with a strong background in developing and operating microservices in a distributed environment.
Proficiency in Kubernetes, gRPC, and Java is required.
Experience deploying applications on global cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure is necessary.
You should demonstrate operational excellence in monitoring, deploying, and testing microservice architectures.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential.
You must be self-driven, capable of making quick decisions, and able to balance feature development with technical debt.
Clear communication skills are required.
Nice to have: Experience with Go, Firebase or equivalent databases, and working on a SaaS product.
