Remote Backend Engineer

Description:

• Intuition Machines uses AI/ML to build enterprise security products like the hCaptcha security suite.

• As a Backend Engineer, you will work on core production code, which may include distributed systems work and optimizing machine learning paths.
• You will improve and drive evolving systems, threat models, and CI/CD practices.
• Responsibilities include designing, building, and maintaining secure, scalable backend services and algorithms.
• You will implement DevSecOps practices, including security protocols, monitoring, metrics, and automated alerts.
• Writing clean, well-documented, production-quality code with thorough test coverage is essential.
• You will strengthen engineering practices through code reviews, testing automation, and on-call support.
• Translating complex requirements into actionable sprint tasks is also part of the role.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in a similar role is required.
• Expertise in backend development in Python and at least one of the following: Golang, Rust, or C++.
• Experience with Kubernetes, metrics-driven deployment, containerization, and microservices is necessary.
• You should have experience in implementing and using monitoring and tracing solutions.
• Experience with key-value stores and SQL databases, along with optimizing their performance, is required.
• Familiarity with high traffic, low latency distributed systems, including queue-first architecture and sharding, is essential.
• An interest in clean architecture, including gathering requirements, problem-solving, and recommending solutions, is expected.
