Remote Backend Engineer (m/f/d)

• The Backend Engineer will join a Tech team of sixteen people, including twelve engineers and four in Product.
• The role involves focusing on projects related to new business and reducing Operations load to facilitate faster growth with a lean team.
• Responsibilities include designing and building backend solutions from scratch, participating in tech stack decisions, developing a scalable platform for the renewable energy sector, and integrating new product lines such as smart meters and dynamic pricing.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 3+ years of backend development experience.
• Strong experience with TypeScript is required.
• Applicants should be confident in designing and building APIs.
• A solid understanding of relational databases is necessary.
• Commitment to writing clean, testable code, including unit, integration, and E2E testing, is expected.
• Candidates should be comfortable working on greenfield projects and building systems from the ground up.
• Strong communication skills and fluency in English are essential.
• Experience with AWS services, familiarity with CI/CD workflows, and experience with React or React Native are considered nice to have.
• Experience using AI tools for debugging, documentation, and testing is valued, along with a practical mindset.
