Remote Backend Engineer - New Grad

Description:

• We are looking for a Jr Backend Developer to join our team as part of Cherry’s New Grad Program.
• You’ll contribute to real product development from day one, supported by a dedicated mentor and peer buddy.

• Responsibilities include designing, developing, and maintaining backend APIs and services.
• You will work with product, frontend, and DevOps teams to ship end-to-end features.
• You are expected to write clean, testable, and maintainable code using modern frameworks.
• Participation in code reviews and technical discussions is required.
• You will contribute to debugging, optimizing, and improving existing systems.
• You will learn and grow under the guidance of experienced engineers.

Requirements:

• You must have graduated at the latest in 2025 from Computer Engineering or related departments.
• A strong academic background is required.
• You should have hands-on experience in at least one backend language (Node.js, Python, Java, or Go).
• A basic understanding of APIs, databases (SQL/NoSQL), and server-side logic is necessary.
• Internship or part-time experience in backend development is required.
• Strong communication skills in both Turkish and English are essential.
• Bonus points for GitHub projects, hackathon participation, or open-source contributions.
