The Backend Engineer will drive new feature delivery end-to-end through implementation, launch, and continuous iteration.
Responsibilities include writing and maintaining a full unit test suite, managing deployments, setting up CI/CD pipelines, and collaborating in an agile environment to translate business requirements into actionable development code.
The engineer will write testable code, participate in code reviews, engage in engineering design sessions, balance speed and quality, and participate in the interview process to raise the technical bar.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 4+ years of professional software development experience building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers.
Excellent communication skills are required, with a minimum B2 level of English proficiency in both written and spoken forms.
Candidates should be comfortable operating in a sometimes ambiguous, fast-changing environment with rapid iteration cycles.
A track record of managing feature requests with realistic timelines is necessary.
Experience with Scrum and Agile methodologies is required, along with experience working within and leading Agile teams.
Candidates must be comfortable writing supporting documentation.
Must have experience with TypeScript/Bun (migrated from Node.js), Express, Firestore, MongoDB, GCP, Docker, Chrome Extension (native DOM manipulation), AI integrations, and SOC-2.
Additional experience with Python is considered a nice to have.
