The Backend Engineer will join a Tech team of sixteen people, including twelve engineers and four in Product.
The role involves working on projects related to new business and reducing Operations load to facilitate faster growth with a lean team.
Responsibilities include designing and building backend solutions from scratch, participating in tech stack decisions, developing a scalable platform for the renewable energy sector, and integrating new product lines such as smart meters and EV charging.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 3+ years of backend development experience.
Strong experience with TypeScript and/or Python is required.
Applicants should be confident in designing and building APIs.
A solid understanding of relational databases is necessary.
Commitment to writing clean, testable code, including unit, integration, and E2E testing, is expected.
Candidates should be comfortable working on greenfield projects and building systems from the ground up.
Strong communication skills and fluency in English are essential.
Experience with AWS services (ECS, RDS (Aurora), S3, CloudWatch, Lambda) is a plus.
Familiarity with CI/CD workflows (e.g., Docker, GitHub Actions) is desirable.
Experience with React or React Native, or a willingness to learn new technologies and take on full-stack tasks when needed, is appreciated.
Experience using AI tools for debugging, documentation, and testing is valued, along with a practical mindset.
