We are looking for a backend engineer to help scale our billing system.
You will be part of the Billing team, responsible for the infrastructure that allows our products to generate revenue.
Your focus will be on the complex backend systems and data pipelines that ensure our billing operates smoothly.
You will work on scaling our billing system backend to handle over $100 million in revenue.
You will optimize complex batch processing jobs and workflow orchestration for usage reporting and quota limiting.
You will build and maintain data transformation pipelines that convert raw invoice data into internal reports, investor reports, and GAAP compliant financials.
You will drive architectural decisions for scaling our billing infrastructure.
You will improve data accuracy and performance across our billing systems.
You will support the implementation of new billing schemes for products we are launching.
Requirements:
You must have extensive backend engineering experience.
You should be very familiar with Python and SQL.
You need to have experience with workflow orchestration and task processing tools.
You should enjoy thinking through and around numerous edge cases.
You must love simplifying complexity and be willing to refactor to clean things up.
You should enjoy working on performance optimizations and scaling challenges.
You need to have started a project from scratch, whether by leading a project, being a founder, or building an impressive side project.
