Remote Backend Engineer

Description:

• ReadMe is seeking a strong Backend Engineer to work in a collaborative team environment.

• The backend team is responsible for implementing a git-backed source of truth "DB" for documentation repositories.
• Engineers will own major feature development and guide architectural planning decisions.

• Engineers will support the growth of other team members through knowledge sharing and mentoring.
• ReadMe helps over 5,000 startups and tech companies build interactive developer hubs.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and knowledge of Git is required.
• Candidates should be product-focused and excited about improving documentation and developer experience.
• A willingness to take risks and learn from mistakes is essential; perfectionism is not encouraged.
• Candidates should be eager to take ownership of their work and be open to pursuing passion projects.
• Collaboration skills are important, including detailed code reviews and a willingness to share knowledge.
