Veeam is looking for an experienced Backend Engineer to join the Veeam Data Cloud (VDC) engineering team.
The role involves working with a global team to build a modern data protection platform using a cutting-edge technology stack based on containers, serverless infrastructure, Golang, and public cloud services.
Responsibilities include designing and developing highly reliable and scalable SaaS microservices, ensuring code quality and security, participating in on-call rotation, taking ownership of service reliability, engaging in technical design discussions, and collaborating with a distributed team.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 5+ years of experience in the software development industry.
Demonstrated expertise in designing, building, and implementing SaaS or large-scale cloud services on Azure, AWS, or GCP is required.
Proficiency in a modern programming language such as Java, Go, Scala, or Rust is necessary.
Experience in designing and implementing event-driven architectures is expected.
Candidates should have expertise in developing, testing, and debugging production-quality, scalable, concurrent systems.
A strong knowledge of computer science fundamentals, including data structures and algorithms, is essential.
A passion for code quality, extensibility, coding standards, testing, and automation is required.
