  • The Backend Engineer will build robust, high-quality backend solutions for clients’ websites and digital products.
  • Responsibilities include creating backend solutions for new builds, updates, API integrations, and server-side tasks using technologies such as PHP, WordPress, MySQL, SQL, Python, Wagtail, Heroku, and AWS.
  • The role involves writing clean, efficient, and secure code, testing thoroughly, debugging issues, and optimizing performance.
  • Collaboration with frontend engineers, designers, and client-facing roles is essential for smooth delivery.
  • The engineer will take ownership of the technical quality of solutions, contribute to best practices, and maintain technical documentation.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have strong experience in backend development using modern frameworks and tools, including PHP, Python, WordPress, Wagtail, and Django.
  • Familiarity with relational databases such as MySQL and cloud infrastructure like Heroku and AWS is required.
