Remote Backend Engineer

Description:

• SupplyHouse.com is seeking a Backend Engineer to join their IT Team in India, working remotely.
• The role is full-time and requires a minimum schedule overlap of 4-5 hours per day with U.S. Eastern Time.
• The Backend Engineer will report to the Full Stack Team Lead and work on projects that enhance the e-commerce platform and internal operations.
• Responsibilities include collaborating with cross-functional teams, designing and developing software applications, improving internal tools, ensuring system reliability, and staying updated with emerging technologies.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is required.
• Candidates must have 3+ years of hands-on experience in backend and/or full-stack development with a proven track record of delivering high-quality software.
• Proficiency in Java and experience with back-end frameworks like Spring Boot are essential.
• A strong understanding of database design, RDBMS concepts, and experience with SQL is required.
• Knowledge of RESTful API design and integration is necessary.
• Proven ability to contribute across the entire software development lifecycle is expected.
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git and CI/CD pipelines is required.
• Experience with agile development methodologies is preferred.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging capabilities are essential.
• Candidates must be able to create reusable code libraries and write clean, maintainable code.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills are necessary, along with high-level proficiency in written and verbal English.
