Responsibilities include setting up cloud infrastructure, defining backend architecture, and contributing to server-side development using TypeScript and Next.js.
The role involves ingesting large data streams, building resilient data loaders, and managing the ETL/ELT process with orchestration tools.
The engineer will manage Elasticsearch/OpenSearch clusters and support AI integrations.
Requirements:
Candidates should have 5+ years of experience designing and scaling ETL/ELT pipelines.
Experience in building backend systems and cloud architecture from scratch is required.
Proficiency in TypeScript, Python, SQL, Next.js, and cloud architecture (AWS preferred) is necessary.
Hands-on experience with orchestration tools like Airflow, Dagster, or Prefect is essential.
Familiarity with streaming technologies such as Kafka or Kinesis is required.
Knowledge of cloud and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using AWS, GCP, or Azure, along with Terraform or Pulumi is needed.
Experience with data warehousing solutions like Snowflake or BigQuery is important.
Candidates should have experience with search engines (Elasticsearch) and vector stores (Pinecone, Weaviate).
A solid understanding of ML/AI fundamentals, including embeddings and model ops, is preferred.
