Work can be done from the flagship campus in Sydney, the Melbourne campus, or co-working spaces in Brisbane, Perth, and Adelaide, with flexibility in choosing the work environment.
Responsibilities include building systems to generate and edit designs, collaborating with ML engineers, backend engineers, frontend engineers, designers, and PMs.
Own the full lifecycle of features from design documentation and stakeholder alignment through implementation, testing, and maintenance.
Stay updated on advancements in deep learning and generative AI.
Facilitate knowledge sharing and advocate for engineering needs with non-technical stakeholders.
Model initiative and ownership in achieving goals and improving processes.
Identify cross-team collaboration opportunities to deliver new ideas and improvements.
Requirements:
A strong interest in deep learning, generative AI, and solving real design generation challenges is essential.
Commercial experience in backend software development using Java or a similar object-oriented language is required.
A passion for the intersection of design and engineering is important.
A solid grounding in computer science fundamentals, including concurrency, multithreading, data structures, and system design, is necessary.
Effective collaboration and communication skills are required.
A curious mindset with a love for learning and sharing new knowledge is expected.
