As a Software Engineer II on the Post Issue Engineering team, you will build software for Bestow's digital life insurance products.
The role involves developing core services primarily using Golang and PostgreSQL.
You will help accelerate foundational services to scale the output of product teams and resolve issues with previously delivered features.
Responsibilities include writing unit and integration tests, peer reviewing code, ensuring software security and maintainability, and collaborating with designers, product managers, and other engineers.

Requirements:
You must have 3+ years of professional software development experience.
A passion for working with Golang is essential, and experience in additional modern languages (e.g., Python, Ruby, .Net, Java, C++) is a plus.
Hands-on knowledge of designing APIs (gRPC, Swagger) is required.
Experience using Docker for local software development is necessary.
You should be an advocate for Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD).
Experience with distributed systems or microservices is expected.
Familiarity with event-driven architecture and modern, scalable system architectures is important.
Strong written and verbal communication skills are required, especially in a remote-first environment.
Exposure to cloud computing platforms (e.g., GCP, AWS, Azure) and container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes) is preferred.
