The Backend Software Engineer will be part of the Core Services team, responsible for building and supporting backend systems that are scalable, secure, and reliable.
Key responsibilities include designing and developing backend services in TypeScript and Node.js, maintaining systems in serverless and containerized environments, and collaborating with senior engineers and product managers.
The role involves improving features across core systems, participating in code reviews, and evolving internal standards and best practices.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 4+ years of software engineering experience.
Experience in building backend systems in production using TypeScript (or JavaScript) and Node.js is required.
Familiarity with AWS services such as Lambda, Fargate, DynamoDB, SQS, and EventBridge is necessary.
An understanding of serverless and/or containerized architectures is important, along with a willingness to learn about their tradeoffs.
Practical experience with AI solutions to streamline engineering workflows or automate tasks is expected.
Exposure to event-driven architecture or distributed systems is preferred.
Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills are essential.
