UW is seeking a detail-oriented and business-savvy Business Data Analyst for a 9-month fixed-term contract, which is a remote role with an immediate start.
The successful candidate will turn data into insights that support key decision-making across departments.
Responsibilities include working closely with stakeholders to understand business needs, developing meaningful reports and dashboards, and providing analysis that drives performance, strategy, and efficiency.
The role involves acting as a strategic partner to stakeholders, analyzing operational performance, transforming large datasets into insights, designing and maintaining dashboards, and presenting findings to various audiences.
The candidate will also lead the development of data governance best practices and continuously identify opportunities for process automation and reporting efficiency.
Requirements:
Candidates should have experience in operational analysis, commercial analysis, or a similar field.
Demonstrable experience in identifying and developing insights that lead to operational efficiency gains, improved productivity, or cost reductions is required.
A proven track record as a Business Data Analyst or in a similar analytical, data-driven role is essential.
Strong ability to identify operational bottlenecks and translate insights into business improvements is necessary.
Advanced proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Looker Studio) and interactive dashboard creation is required.
Strong SQL skills are mandatory; knowledge of Python for analytics is a plus.
A deep understanding of relational databases, data structures, and data modeling concepts is needed.
Candidates should be skilled in Google Workspace, Excel, and complementary data analysis tools.
Exceptional problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy are required.
The ability to simplify complex information into clear, actionable recommendations is essential.
Candidates must be comfortable managing multiple priorities independently in a fast-paced environment.
